Gluten Free Refried Beans

About the recipe: I love that this recipe is super healthy compared to store bought refried beans, and its super simple to make too. You can use just about any beans you like, but I find pinto beans taste the best.

2 (16 oz) cans pinto beans drained

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon cumin

Grease a medium sized frying pan (if not using non-stick). Mix together beans and seasoning in the frying pan over medium heat. Cook beans, stirring frequently, for 5-7 minutes, until beans get super soft. Use a potato masher or fork to squish beans. Cook smashed beans, stirring frequently for another 10-12 minutes until most of the liquid is absorbed.

Serve with Abraham’s Apron’s baked tortilla chips.
